Everything Happens for a Reason

I have long lived my life with this mantra: everything that happens, happens for good reason and for your benefit in the long run. Even events that at first glance appear negative and life altering are actually a blessing in disguise. Granted, saying that may sound like an empty cliche to some, but I know it really does work out that way, especially if you really believe it to be so. One door closes, and countless others open at same time!

Take me for example...in January this year I was let go from my "dream" technical sales job. This also happened one month after my wife and I had moved into a brand new house (yikes!). At first, like anyone in a similar situation I was shocked, panicky, and frankly downright frightened. However, I recalled my own mantra "Everything happens for a reason David. You'll end up better off, making more money than before, and end up on your feet sooner than you think". Sure enough, one month later I discovered a phenomenal direct sales network marketing opportunity, and now everyday I THANK my former employer for letting me go when they did! After struggling for 20 years in sales, for the first time in my career I have broken free of the shackles of the corporate rat race (where you are constantly looking over your shoulder worrying about your job, not wanting to be axed while keeping your manager happy, and all the while being force-fed the corporate attitude "What have you done for the company lately?!"). Now I am in business for myself and enjoying my newfound success and freedom (both in spirit and in income). It is as though my higher self or guardian angel somehow wished this upon me and showed me the better path!
